As it seeks overseas expansion, Great Wall Motor has become the first company to officially respond to a European anti subsidy investigation against Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and is advancing plans to open factories in Europe.
On Monday, the company's president, Mu Feng, posted a Chinese post on his social media Weibo account, which read: "We need a fair and open trade environment." He said that Great Wall Motors was the first to respond to the EU's anti subsidy investigation and submitted its response materials on October 11th.
He added that Great Wall Motors regards Europe as a strategic market and is rapidly advancing the site selection work for its first European factory.
