The stock price of AI giant Nvidia has reached a new historical high.
According to Wind data, as of the close of the US stock market on January 8th Eastern Time, Nvidia rose 6.43% to $522.53, setting a new historical high with a latest total market value of $1.29 trillion. On the morning of January 9th in the Asian market, A-share NVIDIA industrial chain stocks collectively opened high. As of the close, Shanghai Electric Power Co., Ltd. closed up 5.01%, while Alto Electronics and Obi Zhongguang UW both rose more than 4%.
On January 8th local time, it was the first day of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), also known as the Consumer Electronics Spring Festival Gala. On the same day, Nvidia announced at CES the launch of three new desktop grade GPUs (graphics processors) with additional components, which can enable users to better utilize artificial intelligence on their personal computers without relying on remote services accessed through the internet. In addition, Nvidia also claims to be in a leading position in the AI PC competition.
It is worth mentioning that behind the series of new research and development achievements publicly unveiled by Nvidia on the same day, many Chinese companies have emerged.
For example, NVIDIA ACE microservices released by NVIDIA is a technology platform that uses generative AI to create virtual digital humans. Currently, ACE's partners include companies such as miHoYo, NetEase Games, Zhangqu Technology, Tencent Games, and Ubisoft.
In addition, Nvidia announced on the same day that four Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers, namely Ideals, Great Wall Motors, Krypton and Xiaomi, will use Nvidia DRIVE, a centralized automotive computer technology, in their auto drive system. Industry insiders say this highlights the company's determination to expand its business in the Chinese market.
Huatai Securities stated that according to NVIDIA's products released at CES, "AI+" is still the main innovation direction for chip giants.
