NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun stated on March 1st that according to certain definitions, general artificial intelligence may emerge within five years. At an economic forum held at Stanford University, Huang Renxun answered the question of "how long it will take to create a computer that can think like humans", stating that the answer largely depends on how goals are defined. If the definition is that it can pass human testing, then General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) will soon arrive. "If I give artificial intelligence... all the tests you can imagine, put it in front of the computer science industry," Huang Renxun said. "I guess in five years, we will achieve good results in every test."
However, Huang Renxun also stated that according to other definitions, universal artificial intelligence may be far from us because scientists still have differences in describing how the human brain works. "Therefore, as an engineer, it is difficult to achieve it because engineers need clear goals," said Huang Renxun.
