Chris Kempczinski, Global President and CEO of McDonald's, reiterated his goal of having 10000 restaurants in China by the end of 2028 during an analyst conference call and believes that McDonald's still has room to continue expanding in lower tier cities in China. The company opened 1000 branches in China in 2023. He said, "From our development aspirations, we are proceeding step by step, and from this perspective, we hope to achieve similar results in 2024."
