On January 21st, ExxonMobil filed a lawsuit against the Dutch radical investor organization Follow This and registered investment advisor Arjuna Capital, seeking to exclude their proposal to accelerate greenhouse gas emissions reduction from this year's annual shareholder meeting.
ExxonMobil stated in the lawsuit that the purpose of the proposal made by Follow This and Arjuna Capital is "to weaken the company's existing business.".
