On January 5 local time, Cruise, a autonomous vehicle division of General Motors, proposed to pay $75000 to settle the investigation of California regulators on the details of pedestrian crashes involving autonomous vehicle that they did not disclose.
In December last year, the California Public Utilities Commission ordered Cruise to attend a hearing on February 6th, stating that he "misled the commission through omissions" in the scope and severity of the accident, and "misled public opinion" in its interaction with the agency.
