On the morning of September 2, the signing ceremony between the Dongguan Watertown Management Committee and the Baidu AI Cloud (Dongguan) AI AI Industrial Base project was held, which means that the project has officially landed in Dongguan Watertown. Under the joint witness of Ye Baohua, Vice Mayor of Dongguan Municipal Government, and Xie Guangjun, Vice President of Baidu AI Cloud Group, Lai Jianwei, Secretary of the Watertown Party Working Committee and Secretary of the Hongmei Town Party Committee, completed the signing ceremony with Duan Wei, General Manager of Baidu Smart Cloud South China.
It is reported that the project is located in the first phase of the Hexi Digital Industry Zone in the water town, and will rely on Baidu's advanced artificial intelligence technology to provide artificial intelligence services for Dongguan's manufacturing industry, empowering Dongguan enterprises to achieve intelligent and digital transformation and upgrading. Baidu Group will attract and cultivate no less than 20 upstream and downstream enterprises in the Baidu digital ecosystem, and invest in technologically advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure equipment to create benchmark cases of artificial intelligence applications in smart cities, autonomous driving, low altitude economy, AI live streaming marketing, and other areas.

Baidu invests heavily in Dongguan to promote the implementation of AI full scenario applications
Since the beginning of this year, Dongguan Water Town has firmly grasped the primary task of high-quality coordinated development, relying on the two strategic emerging industry bases of digital economy and new energy, seizing opportunities for the development of emerging industries, and vigorously promoting investment promotion. Since the beginning of this year, the Water Town Battle New Base has attracted seven key industrial projects, including the Dongguan Taiwan High tech Industrial Park, Baidu Artificial Intelligence Industrial Base, and Linyang Energy Storage, to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system for water towns.
Among them, the Baidu Artificial Intelligence Industry Base is located in the first phase of the Hexi Digital Industry Zone in Shuixiang, with a total of about 4800 square meters of office space and about 600 square meters of operation service center. Attract and cultivate no less than 20 enterprises to settle in
Baidu Group will play a leading role in attracting and cultivating no less than 20 upstream and downstream enterprises of Baidu's digital ecosystem (with an annual output value of no less than 500 million yuan), promoting the aggregation and coordinated development of innovative resources such as artificial intelligence data, technology, applications, talents, and industries. The first batch of digital cutting-edge technology enterprises to enter, including artificial intelligence image generation, visual drive, smart health, intelligent robots, etc., will accelerate the agglomeration and development of the artificial intelligence industry. In addition, Baidu will also invest in technologically advanced artificial intelligence infrastructure equipment, introducing software platforms and hardware computing devices such as large model training nodes, generative AI service nodes, AI inference nodes, etc., to provide algorithm and development platform technical support for digital economy enterprises and meet their digital application needs.
Based on this project, Baidu Group will also build a Baidu artificial intelligence big model empowerment platform and a scenario application innovation platform in Dongguan Water Town. Importing core big models such as "Qianfan+Wenxin+Brain" from Baidu, integrating AI tools such as AI office, image generation, AI live streaming, code assistant, search engine, digital human, etc., to provide Dongguan enterprises with calling services for big model capabilities. At the same time, local manufacturing enterprises can build AI applications that are suitable for themselves through the Baidu big model, establish intelligent application platforms for research and development, production, testing, marketing, etc., effectively reducing costs and accelerating industrial intelligent upgrading. Baidu and its ecosystem partners are accelerating the research and development of a batch of large-scale model ecological products for Dongguan's physical industries, urban governance, and social services, providing comprehensive large-scale model technology support for enterprises, accelerating the promotion of AI large-scale models and industry application landing, and creating more than 5 benchmark cases of artificial intelligence applications in smart cities, autonomous driving, low altitude economy, AI live streaming marketing, and other areas.
In terms of talent introduction, Baidu and its ecosystem partners will attract no less than 200 people including AI developers, engineers, technicians, etc. to the base within 3 years, including no less than 10 leading talents and no less than 10 intellectual property declarations, to support the development of the digital economy industry through the integration of industry, academia and research. At the same time, the base regularly holds AI ecological enterprise themed activities, provides artificial intelligence talent training camps for local enterprises, trains more than 5000 digital talents, and strives to create an "incubator" and "reservoir" for the growth of artificial intelligence talents in Dongguan.
