On August 26th, the Dutch Data Protection Agency (DPA) announced a fine of 290 million euros against Uber for transferring European driver data to Uber in the United States. The Dutch Data Protection Agency has found that Uber has transferred the personal data of European taxi drivers to the United States without proper protection during these transfers.
