The Ford brand recently unveiled several new models under its umbrella in Beijing, and the domestically produced Ford Liema has officially launched and announced the manufacturer's guide price range for the entire series, ranging from 299800 yuan to 438800 yuan. A total of seven models have been launched. Among them, the manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Everglades Special Limited Edition is 438800 yuan, with a limited edition of 500 units available for sale. In addition, the all-new Ford Mustang 2.3T convertible sports version has made its debut in China, marking Ford's first official introduction of the Mustang's convertible version to the Chinese market. It is expected to be officially launched in the second quarter of this year.
Ford China President and CEO Wu Shengbo emphasized that for Ford, China is a crucial market, and Ford's unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable business development in China remains unchanged. Ford is investing resources into its advantageous core business, utilizing a range of iconic brands and products, as well as the comprehensive capabilities of its partners in China, to bring more and better products and create more value for Ford's Chinese and even global consumers.
According to statistics, in 2023, Ford China exported over 100000 vehicles, setting a single year export record for the company, with consecutive quarterly profits in the third and fourth quarters; In 2023, its subsidiaries Changan Ford, Lincoln, and Jiangling Motors all achieved full year business profitability. In the first quarter of 2024, Ford's export business in China continued to grow, with a year-on-year increase of 34%.
According to the plan, in the future, Ford will focus on core businesses with competitive advantages, fully leverage the advantages of Ford's iconic products, sharpen the image of Ford and Lincoln, and form differentiated advantages, bringing better products and experiences to customers. In terms of new energy products, Ford China will continue to strengthen its relationship with its partners in China, utilize the advantages and resources of all parties, and jointly accelerate Ford's electrification transformation in China through measures such as expanding sales networks and developing localized electric vehicle models; Establishing a new joint venture with partners, Changan Ford New Energy, fully utilizing the advantages of both parties, and collaborating to develop new energy products. The first product is currently under development.
