During his time at Boao, Liu Yanlei, Senior Vice President of NetEase Youdao, stated that education is one of the most suitable natural scenarios for the implementation of AIGC. The application prospects of artificial intelligence in the field of education are very broad, making large-scale personalized education possible. Following the world's first virtual human speaking coach Hi Echo, Youdao will soon launch a new large model application to better assist in improving learning efficiency.
"Traditional education models are often limited by factors such as teacher resources and teaching venues, making it difficult to achieve personalized teaching. However, AIGC technology can automatically generate personalized learning content and paths by analyzing students' learning situations and needs, thereby improving learning efficiency and quality. In July 2023, NetEase Youdao launched the first education model in China, "Ziyue", and quickly implemented it in the seven major education scenarios, starting with "scenarios", enabling AI technology to truly empower teachers and students. At the end of last year, the Confucius Education Model was also approved as one of the first education models to pass national registration. As of now, Youdao has implemented the application of large models in software and hardware products, including the world's first virtual human speaking coach Hi Echo and the first educational intelligent hardware Youdao Dictionary Pen X6 Pro equipped with large model functionality. At the beginning of 2024, Youdao also launched a new Youdao AI learning machine X20 equipped with the AI tutor "Teacher Xiao P" application.

Liu Yanlei pointed out that as a vertical model for education, compared to general models, "Ziyue" is more professional in pre training corpus and can provide accurate Q&A for users in learning scenarios.
