According to CCTV news, Boeing in the United States has recently fallen into aviation safety difficulties, with multiple models of aircraft experiencing various accidents. On March 15th local time, Boeing released another guide on the cockpit seat switches for the 787 aircraft. The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States has announced that it will convene an expert group to review Boeing's guidelines.
On the 15th, Boeing announced that it recommended airlines to check the cockpit seat switches when repairing Boeing 787 aircraft, and provided a guide on how to turn off the power to the seat switches. Boeing stated that this suggestion is only a preventive measure, but the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States stated that the suggestion is aimed at the accident that occurred on the Boeing 787 aircraft on the 11th, and they are convening an expert group to review Boeing's recommendation information.
On the 11th, a Boeing 787 aircraft flying from Sydney to Auckland experienced a "technical malfunction" during flight, causing severe shaking of the fuselage and injuring at least 50 people. There are reports that the accident may have been caused by the accidental movement of the cockpit seat.
On the 15th, United Airlines confirmed to the media that after landing on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, it found a missing panel on the outside of the fuselage. There is currently no indication that the aircraft was damaged during flight. The Federal Aviation Administration of the United States stated that it will investigate this matter.
According to a report by CBS on the 15th, Boeing stated that it will take about a year to address issues that may cause the 737 Max engine's anti icing system to overheat and damage the engine. At the same time, Boeing has obtained exemptions from the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States, allowing certified and operational 737 Max 8 and 9 aircraft to continue operating. Boeing will not seek comprehensive certification for 737 Max 7 and 10 aircraft until the engine issue is resolved.
