According to He Xiaopeng, the wire controlled steering system currently being developed by Xiaopeng Motors is expected to automatically hide the steering wheel in autonomous driving mode, providing passengers with a more spacious cabin space. When parking, the system can also automatically adjust the steering ratio, making it easier for the vehicle to park in the parking space.
He Xiaopeng predicted that the steering wheel, which has been considered a standard feature in the automotive industry for a hundred years, may gradually become unnecessary in the era of artificial intelligence vehicles.
He Xiaopeng also revealed relevant information about Xiaopeng's new "Ultra model". He stated that this model will have a computing power of up to 3000T and support L4 level intelligent driving that meets Chinese and European standards. To ensure safety, this model adopts a fully redundant design in terms of core components and chip security backup.
He Xiaopeng further elaborated on Xiaopeng Motors' vision for the future of Robotaxi at the meeting.
