On September 20th, a reporter from Beijing Business Daily learned that American sports giant Nike announced that it will replace its CEO. The current CEO, John Donahoe, will retire on October 13th and continue to serve as a consultant for the company until January 2025. Nike veteran Elliott Hill will succeed John Donahoe as the Group's Global President and CEO.
Before joining Nike, Tang Ruoxiu joined eBay in 2005 and had previously worked at consulting firm Bain&Company. In January 2020, Tang Ruoxiu officially took over the position of CEO of Nike Group from current Nike Executive Chairman Mark Parker. Elliott Hill served as a trainer for the NFL Dallas Cowboys, the leader of the four major professional sports leagues in North America, from 1986 to 1987. Joined Nike in 1988 and retired in 2020, having worked at Nike for 32 years.
