Susan Wojcicki is one of the most outstanding women in Silicon Valley. She joined Google in 1999 and was the 16th employee of Google. When Google started early, she rented Susan Wojcicki's garage, which means she was the landlord of co founders Brin and Page.
During Susan Wojcicki's tenure as head of Google's advertising business, Google's advertising revenue grew from zero to over $50 billion in 2013.
In 2006, she participated in Google's acquisition of video website YouTube for $1.65 billion, and Susan Wojcicki was appointed as YouTube's CEO in 2014.

YouTube is an online video sharing platform where users can upload, share, and watch videos. It was founded by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim in 2005. The website has become one of the most popular video sources on the global Internet, with 239 million users in the United States and 2.562 billion users worldwide. This number reflects the widespread influence and popularity of YouTube as a video sharing platform worldwide.
In addition, YouTube has a very high level of user activity, with users watching over 1 billion hours of YouTube content per day, indicating the attractiveness and user stickiness of YouTube content.
According to Google's recently released financial report, the total revenue for the second quarter of this year was $84.742 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.59% and a month on month increase of 5.22%; Net profit was $23.619 billion, a year-on-year increase of 28.59% and a month on month decrease of 0.18%; Capital expenditure was 13.186 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 91.43% and a month on month increase of 9.77%.
Among them, Google's search and other revenue was 48.509 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%; YouTube's advertising revenue was 8.663 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13%, lower than the expected 8.93 billion US dollars; Google Network revenue was $7.444 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%; Google's subscription, platform, and device revenue was $9.312 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.4%; Google Cloud revenue reached $10.347 billion, a year-on-year increase of 28.8%; Other Bets revenue was $365 million, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%.
Analysts pointed out that Google's revenue and diluted earnings per share in the second quarter exceeded Wall Street analysts' previous expectations, but YouTube's advertising and revenue did not meet expectations, leading to a sharp drop in the stock price at one point.
For the slowdown in YouTube advertising growth, the management attributed it to the high year-on-year base problem in the second quarter. The high base came from the fact that Asia Pacific retailers started investing on YouTube in the second quarter of last year, and the base dividend period ended in the second quarter of this year.
