("NIO Energy") has officially reached a charging service cooperation agreement with the HarmonyOS Intelligent Vehicle Technology Ecological Alliance ("HarmonyOS Intelligent Travel"). NIO Energy's charging network is open to HarmonyOS, providing its users with a wide coverage, efficient query, and convenient charging service.

According to the agreement, starting from July 17th, Hongmeng Zhixing users can search for and use NIO Energy charging stations nationwide through the Hongmeng Zhixing App, AITO App, and Wanjie, Zhijie, and Xiangjie car machines, with a comprehensive upgrade in charging experience and efficiency.
On July 11th, Ma Lin, Vice President of Brand and Communication at NIO, revealed that "NIO Energy will not only build battery swapping stations this year, but also continue to build a large number of charging stations. Most of the battery swapping stations built this year will also be integrated charging and swapping stations, serving users of various brand models including HarmonyOS
NIO stated that NIO Energy has established a nationwide charging network and opened up sharing to the entire industry, with over 80% of its electricity serving non NIO users. As of July 17th, NIO Energy has deployed 3904 charging stations and 22822 charging piles nationwide, with an average daily availability rate of 99.72%, making it the car brand with the most charging piles deployed nationwide.
The charging business is one of NIO's few businesses that has not incurred losses. Last September, NIO CEO Li Bin revealed at NIO Innovation and Technology Day that NIO's charging business has now begun to generate profits, with 70% -80% of users coming from other brands.
However, NIO's battery swapping business has not yet achieved profitability. At the first quarter earnings conference this year, Li Bin stated that NIO POWER has plans for independent financing, and it is still in the investment stage. It is necessary to establish a nationwide network first, but overall its profitability is very clear. He gave an example that a battery swapping station can basically achieve a balance between revenue and expenditure with about 60 orders per day. Currently, NIO's single battery swapping station has a daily order volume of 30-40 orders. In addition, NIO Power will also generate revenue from flexible upgrades and energy storage.
As of now, the NIO Battery Swap Alliance has expanded to 8 car companies, including not only NIO itself, but also China FAW, GAC Group (601238. SH), Changan Automobile (000625. SZ), Geely Holding, Chery Automobile, Jiangqi Group, and Lotus, covering half of China's mainstream car companies. In addition, NIO also collaborates with energy and power companies such as Sinopec, CNOOC, Shell, State Grid, Southern Power Grid, Anhui Energy Group, and Zhong'an Energy.
