It is reported that Xiaopeng Automobile's Automotive Technology Center is responsible for research and development related to the entire vehicle, including embedded development, chassis, body, interior and exterior decoration, electronic and electrical architecture, etc. After Jiao Qingchun leaves, Yu Peng will be appointed as the organizational leader of the Automotive Technology Center. Public information shows that Yu Peng joined Xiaopeng Motors in 2015 and was an early employee of the founding team of Xiaopeng Motors.
In addition to serving as the organizational leader of the Automotive Technology Center, Jiao Qingchun was previously the main person in charge of the H platform of Xiaopeng Motors. The newly launched MPV model Xiaopeng X9 at the beginning of this year was produced on this platform, and it is currently the only mass-produced model on H platform.
After Jiao Qingchun resigned, Xiaopeng Automobile handed over the H platform to Li Yifan, the former person in charge of the E platform. After Li Yifan took over the H platform, the E platform he was originally responsible for was handed over to Vice President Chen Yonghai.
In addition to the personnel adjustment of the auto technology center and the product planning center, Xiaopeng Auto recently announced the establishment of a new first level department - the test center, which is in the charge of Wang Peng, the former test director of the Internet Center, and reports to He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of Xiaopeng Auto.
The newly established test center is equivalent to the test center department of Xiaopeng Automobile, which gathers the test teams of the automobile technology center, the Internet center, and the automated driving center to integrate personnel and resources.
According to the June delivery data released by Xiaopeng Motors, a total of approximately 10700 new cars were delivered that month, a year-on-year increase of 24% and a month on month increase of 5%. From January to June, Xiaopeng Motors delivered a total of 52000 new cars, a year-on-year increase of 26%.
