Recently, JD and Xiaomi reached a new strategic cooperation, with JD Group CEO Xu Ran, Xiaomi Group Partner, President, and International Business Department President Lu Weibing attending the ceremony and witnessing the strategic signing. Both parties have set a target of 200 billion yuan in omni channel sales for Xiaomi on JD.com in the next three years. At the same time, they will jointly promote the sales growth of multi category Xiaomi intelligent hardware products, allowing more users to enjoy Xiaomi's full scenario intelligent experience, and helping Xiaomi accelerate the implementation of its "people, cars, and home ecosystem" strategy.
According to the agreement, while continuously deepening cooperation in the fields of retail, logistics, technology, and finance, JD.com and Xiaomi will also further expand cooperation in industries such as industry, development, health, and insurance, achieve deep integration and coordinated development of multiple industries, and explore broader market growth opportunities.
In the retail field, JD.com will work closely with Xiaomi in 3C digital, home appliances, automobiles and other categories, and bring Xiaomi's full range of products to consumers through precise matching of "people, goods, and markets", allowing more Xiaomi products to enter households and achieve intelligent hardware connectivity. At the product level, Xiaomi will actively participate in the JD 3C Digital New Product "One Step Plan" and the Trend Product "AI Renewal Acceleration Plan" to accelerate the speed of product innovation, allowing consumers to enjoy an exclusive experience of first receive new products, rights, and discounts. Meanwhile, based on the C2M (reverse customization) model, both parties will jointly create customized products that meet market trends and consumer needs. At the marketing level, both parties will increase their resource allocation and collaborate online and offline, achieving dual growth in brand image and sales performance through refined operations and user promotion. At the same time, JD provides core exposure resources and full chain marketing and operation capabilities for Xiaomi's home appliances and home products through the "Lightning New Product" IP. At the service level, both parties will increase subsidy investment based on JD's special support measures for exchanging old for new, jointly build service products, and ensure that consumers have a worry free and refreshed entire process. At the channel level, both parties will integrate over 20000 offline stores in JD.com, including JD.com MALL, JD.com Home, and JD.com Home Appliance Store, as well as over 10000 offline stores in Xiaomi Home, to bring consumers a shopping experience of "fast, efficient, and efficient" across all channels and scenarios. In addition, in the production process, JD Industrial's "Taipu" digital supply chain solution will help Xiaomi further reduce costs and increase efficiency in industrial product procurement and manufacturing, and jointly promote the process of new industrialization.
As early as 2015, JD.com and Xiaomi had already started cooperation, and now JD.com has become Xiaomi's largest strategic partner in global sales. In September 2023, Xiaomi's self operated flagship store on JD.com had over 100 million followers, making Xiaomi the first brand on JD.com to have over 100 million followers; In March 2024, the first JD.com self operated Xiaomi Home in China landed at JD.com Mall in Tianjin; In April 2024, the two sides jointly held the first Jingdong Rice noodles Festival, bringing huge benefits and interesting activities to consumers.
